I work as a software engineer for a software company. I study computing at the Open University.

I like computing and it takes most of my time, but I also like reading, movies, traveling, writing poetry, meeting people."

Create New Text Section on the Front Page

In the tree view on the left side of the window click with a mouse on the "My Personal Page"

Go to the field Article and enter the following text:

1. I had a lot of ideas to be presented on the web but I did not want to bother with design, maintaining links between pages and other routine tasks

2. I wanted to become famous

3. I wanted to become rich

Anyway, Qixite allows you to build web sites quickly"

Create a Page Dedicated to My Friends

Click button "New Page"

This will allow you to generate this web page to the file named "friends.html"

Go to the field Article and enter the following text:

"I have some friends.

Some of them are geeks and nerds like myself. Others are just the ones that share the views that are similar to those of mine.

Some of them are just people I like."

Create a Page Dedicated to Adam Smith

Generate Web Site

Web site generation converts the web site tree you have just created to the set of html files that any browser can display. You may upload the resulting html files to web server after you have completed this step.

Click the button "Generate Web Site"

This step will generate 3 separate html files: index.html, friends.html and asmith.html. Each of the files will contain links to other two files. It also generates a css file and stores a logo png file.

Save Your Work

Do not forget to complete this step, as you will require your web site tree next time you want to update your web site.

Click menu File -> Save

I will not guide you through saving process here as it should be covered by your basic computing knowledge.
