Linux
There are 2 configuration files - /etc/qixite.ini and ~/.qixite.ini
/etc/qixite.ini is only used as a template for ~/.qixite.ini, i.e. ~/.qixite.ini is used always, if it does not exist the /etc/qixite.ini is copied to ~/.qixite.ini
Windows
Currently the WINDOWSDIR/qixite.ini is used
