Site wide variables are intended to aid in development of templates.
I.e. let's template developer will be able to specify some template features that may be enabaled or disabled using the Qixite GUI.
The first case where this is used is the default template that displays SourceForge logo using the supplied SourceForge group id if variable 'sfid' is specified.
To display SourceForge logo on your site follow this procedure
1. Menu 'View'
2. Menu 'Site Options'
3. Click page 'Variables'
4. Enter variable name 'sfid'
5. Enter variable value to be the id of your source forge project.
6. Click button 'Add Variable'
